Hi everyone!

I received my plants approximately three weeks ago. I followed the instructions and put them into a homemade humidity dome. I've been watering them once a week and misting several times a day. I have a dual 2' fluorescent plant light resting on top of the container. I've definitely noticed new growth, but the leaves are browning here and there. Can anyone tell me what's going on here? Is it time to remove them from the humidity container? Too much water? Too little water? Huh I've read other postings here and it seems to vary. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd pull the tent, or prop it open six inches for a day or so....see how they fair or leave it off at night and see how that goes...........unless its below 30% humidity, day and night.... tents aren't really neccesary unless a plant is wilting and getting crispy heat shrink...(IMHO of course) they might already be addicted to humid conditions, so you may have to do the "mean wean routine."

looks like they need some wind and  drying time to me Grin

I would also make sure that the soil is drying out slightly between waterings. Sometimes when the plants are that small, watering once a week is still too much as the plants aren't using much water yet.

Thanks guys. I left the hood off last night. I'll keep an eye on it over the next week or two. I have another cutting I'm going to put in fired clay granules with nutrient solution, etc to build a good root system.

Hi.

Sally is doing better. I removed the cuttings from the humidity chamber. I've been keeping the plant light on, except for five hours or so at night. I've also been misting once a day while the soil dries out. Definitely looking better.

The third cutting is having issues. I've still got it in the bubbler. Doesn't look like it'll make it at this point.

Thanks for asking.

id think about misting it less cause you are still giving it water casue it will run down the stalk to the roots

OK. When would you recommend misting and/or watering again?
