So I clipped my protoleaf last month and started taking a couple clippings of leaves to save up for my quid. Well I thought that my beast was going downhill because of alot of brown leaving "drying out". I only had one set of new leaves come about and it was from prunning the leaves, So I was pretty worried. All of a sudden I noticed leaves popping up out of know where. the top where I clipped the protoleaf now has 8 leaves growing and more then 26 little side sprouters. These leaves look superb, bright green, little or no browning "cut off all added humidity too", broad veins. I wish I could get some quick pictures but can't find my camera when I do prepare to see lots of growth.
muhahahah.

o by the way i did the quid and it was a relaxating time.

I would love to see some pics too!  Smiley

I have had my Salvias since March 20 and need to get some pics posted. Have just the two but they are thriving so will likely get some others from them when the time is right for pinching. Grin

My sister borrowed my camera though and has not returned it yet! I must get onto her about that. As soon as I get it I will get some pics too.

Pics?  did somebody say pics???  haha

Heres a very old stem which I got to restart from nodes, I left it outside in a bucket of water for a few weeks/ months.... sometimes its hard to get older stems to pop leaves at the nodes.  It put roots out later on, and then I planted it somewheres.... Roll Eyes

these are only 1/8th inch teeny teeny  little leaves, but once you see your plant popping green at the nodes, you KNOW its going to be healthy.

when I have marginal cuttings or sick plants, I don't touch them at all, other than to keep the soil moist, and some half strength light,

I just leave them outside in some shade.........I wait unitl I see these little harbingers  of life....then I know that plants will grow.

I got some batteries for my camera and took some snapshotss.!!

explosion of growth toward top and sides I counted 26 leaves last time i counted "13 pairs" and some newer growth uncounted for.

I think I reached a solid 2 off the quid. It was only 7-8 leaves. I did drink an excessive ammount of alcohol 15 minutes after spitting the quid out so I can't really say if it was the alcohol or salvia that did the majority of the trip but before ingesting the alcohol I did have a small trip
