Hi All.. I am from NJ and I am attempting to grow my plant indoors.. I have a cfl light that I keep on for about 18 hours of the day and I keep it in darkness for about 6.. I currently have it in a coffee pot and I am going to put it in a 6 gallon can.. Should I put an automatic mister in this?? Should I keep it covered with seran wrap to keep the humidty in?? My plant is currently droopy.. The leaves are down but the plant is growing.. Any information why this is would be greatful.. Thank You

droopy plant is most likely too low humidity or too much water in the soil.

check out the soil and see if it is wet a few inches down. if so font water it until it drys out.

does your current coffee can have drainage?  Salvia is used to growing on the side of hills, think loose soil that has plenty of drainage. plenty of perilite and i put pebbles in the bottom for quick drainage. Always let the soil dry (a few inches down) before re watering. IF you don't and the root get too wet then you will get root rot and the plant will die fast and there is not a whole lot you can do.

as far as humidity goes i would get rid of the seran wrap and go with a 2 liter bottle with the bottom cut off and a few air holes put in it. take it off daily to mist and then put it back on. Once she perks back up you can start leaving the 2 liter bottle off for more and more time 1, 2, 3, 4, hours. just be sure to keep misting her and listen to her signals (drooping)
