And up in Canada "Arcygenical" has a Seed raised strain that I'm tentatively naming "Northern Lights".

Funny you should say that... I was thinking Aurora or Auroras... She has long and slender leaves, worthy of the Aurora Borealis name if you ask me.

My ENTIRE crop belongs to the Aurora strain now, so I can easily send a few around.

It should also be noted that I'm moving to the US early next september... And I plan on donating my entire crop to a member (or members) on this forum... Since I can't bring it with me.

I recently started my salvia garden with some clones i purchased off ebay, i believe they are blosser. If any become available i would be very interested in purchasing or recieving some new salvia strains Smiley. Sally is a very cool plant and its a great idea to try to widen the salvia genepool.

when I had started my garden, I can help with the cuttings, however, live in sweden so it is the other side of the world type

I have begun my efforts to spread the 2 seed grown strains I do have. there are 'a couple' of each already started.

Aquarian                H/W                Luna               Ph♀enix       Ph♀enix

These are the rare parents on July 13th, 2008: (about) 5 feet tall [not the smaller Phoenix Plant on the far right under Calvin].. I'm petting my precious "Round Leaves" Luna (Jupe sent me).

I am color coding my plants pots! (They come already injection molded in 3 colors: Terra Cotta/Hunter/and White.) and it is TIME!

A night photo 2 weeks later:

The 2 Aquarians I'm hiding behind are about as big as me!

Today I found the biggest ones in a heap on the ground! 4 BIG Trees went down in a heap! One of them grew an inch too tall and took the others down with it when it tipped over.

I'm going to repot my 10 foot tree in the morning!

Hey Sea Mac, I will have a couple Owens strains ready to ship soon and wanted to give you first crack at them for this Genetic Exchange Program. Just let me know if you want them or not.

I'm hoping to get as many seed raised strains, or morphologically unique ones as is possible. Luna is the only 'Common' strain that is morphologically different: And I have that one!

So, thank you for offering Owens to me. But I'm going to try for Arcy's Aurora and the 4 new strains from this Century first and send them far and wide ...

I'll pass on the Owens strain ...

OK that's cool. Hopefully everyone who ordered the Salvia seeds from eBay today can get at least 1 new good growing strain each from it. That would be a wonderful addition to the gene pool!

That fellow pulled up stakes, and headed for the hills, the minute he got my order: with my instructions to ship them to Daniel.

Fraud! You, nor I, are getting those rip off seeds JARG ... He's suddenly closed up shop!

Looks like I am just going to have to wait until my plants get big enough then so I can flower them myself and get my own seeds. At least none of us got ripped off, but I am surprised he was so bold as to email me back insisting that they were real when I told him I would know if they were real or not.

Good luck getting seeds. The consensus is you may be lucky.  Perhaps by grace of the goddess herself.  Few among us in this generation are qualified for this grace.
Seeds from Hawaii... I'm laughing because the bumming birds there make hella more bucks off reefer than conning fools into buying non-existant seeds.  All about pollinating the pocketbook...

I laugh - HARD - when people call me "Lucky" ...

This website of mine  http://members.cox.net/theluckyleprechaun/index.html has been up for YEARS and I assure you I BROKE the word "Lucky"!

It went WELL past "Lucky" long ago, and "spooky", and "frightening" ...

Let's just say that I'm VERY careful what I wish for!

But Luck had nothing to do with Mr. Valdes getting seeds in 1980. http://www.sagewisdom.org/valdes87.html

And This researcher http://web.archive.org/web/20041123085337/http://www.sabia.com/salvia/ says "3%" of hand pollinated flowers set seeds.

And JUPE himself found a few Viable seeds in HIS patch the year before ... they might have been wild pollinated seeds too!

Luck has nothing to do with it. Salvia divinorum IS Self-Fertile! (Barely. But it's worth the time to try IF your plants are big enough.)

But if you don't bother to hand pollinate because you don't expect anything to happen: you won't get any seeds! I gave it a try one year and took some amazing photos of ripening seeds!

Keep your plants Blackout dark at night ... they will TRY to flower! Streetlights / Security lights / All night Tennis Courts / even being under your house's windows - all light pollution will prevent your plants from blooming!

If your plants are big enough to drop several old flowers a day, throughout the flowering season, then they are big enough to set seeds. Most indoor growers plants don't get big enough - why my huge outdoor grow, and Jupe's, eventually succeeded on it's own!

In 2 - 2 1/2 months the first sets of the 'Aquarian' and 'Ph♀enix' strain plants will be ready to ship. I've got a dozen 'Ph♀enix' strain baby plants started and only a couple of the 'Aquarian' started so far ...

More to be made tomorrow ... but the Exchange program is started at last.

How do I get on a list for cuttings or find other strains to grow.. I have what I believe to be two Blosser plants and will clone more after the outside plant is given a chance to flower, but I want to try other strains as well.. Sorry if I missed where this is posted I did a quick search but did not see anything.

Thanks

I'd recommend you get rare strains here:  http://www.greenstranger.com/catalog/salvia.php

I'm not going to be producing many plants until I get more than 2 of each kind of parent plant.

While greenstranger does have the more rare strains you may have issues when ordering from them. My order took over 12 weeks to receive. I ordered a specific 4 pack and they substituted a Owens for the Luna I was supposed to receive for one of my plants. They are also really hard to get hold of should there be any issues. That being said I believe they do sell the strains they claim they are and you will get your plants for a fair price. Just be prepared to get something other than what you ordered and wait 3 months for them...
