Salvia Plants Wilting - Questions

Here is a few days worth of shots. The first is on the 18th and they resume on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th. The plants do not have any red or black marks and are a nice shade of green. I have the plants on 18/8, and I think either the plants are getting too much sun or its too hot or something. I have the lights about 1ft. away and a white plastic bag between the top. Could also be from overwatering. I am not sure. Could be both?

I also was wondering if I could cut the stem in half and use Jargs 2L cloning method. It looks as if the top of the plant is really green and the rest is a darker green/ turning brown. You can really tell in the second pic of the 1st reply.

More pics. I really want to cut that growth off the 1st plant and clone it.

Last picture is 4 other plants I have. Drosera adelae (Sundew), Venus Flytrap, Sarracenia "Dana's Delight" (Pitcher Plant) and some Cinnamon Basil in the background that just sprouted a few days ago

Honestly your plants look like they are doing well. I don't see any problems. It takes a little while for the plants to adjust and there is slow growth in the beginning, but then they start to take off after they do finally get adjusted. I wouldn't cut off the top and try to clone it yet as you will have a much better chance of cloning success with a healthy growing branch that has already been acclimated to it's surroundings. Wait and clone later unless your plant starts to take a nose dive. What are the temps and how often are you watering? Watering should be very infrequent for the first few weeks as the plants aren't using much yet.

Temp is always around 78. I don't have A/C and this is the temperature of the room. Humidity is usually about the same.

Yeah that is good. They like it ideally a little cooler, but I was growing in 80-85 without trouble. Are the stems so flimsy that they would fall over if it weren't for the ties to the posts?

They seem pretty firm to me. Even the one drooping on the left was fine. I am going to add some Micorrhizae to the root zone today.

I think they are doing OK then. I know it's hard to do, but sometimes the best thing for new Salvia plants is just to leave them alone for a few weeks so they get established. Then once new growth starts to happen and they have acclimated start adding things then.
