Do some people never experience visuals with salvia, even if they smoke enough of it and aren't salvia hardheads?  Just wondering- because I have friends who have experienced vivid hallucinations on their first attempts whereas I've tried it several times and have not seen anything, but experienced rather strong physical effects.

Ideally, it should be done in silence and the DARK. If the light levels are too high it has a sobering effect and 'washes out' the colors. And, it may take several dozen tries ...

Have you felt like she hammered you flat and then folded you neatly in half? I had that happen a couple of times .... She drew me on paper once and then creased me: I came to feeling my chest to see if it was still creased!

Thanks for your advice.  Did you by any chance experience visuals and if so what were they? The physical effects were quite intense and really bizarre.  I never would have imagined one could feel this way after smoking a plant.  For me, the primary effects seem to be a strong splitting sensation.   Whenever I smoke it, I instantly recognize the distinct feeling. I once felt like I was sand being poured over- this seems to kind of resemble your feeling of being folded in half.  Amazing how real it feels.

I think I may not be smoking enough but may be almost there.    After a few hits I am reluctant to do more because of the intensity.  I once felt my vision go a bit fuzzy and started to feel like I was about to blackout and perhaps lose bodily awareness.  I wasn't prepared for this and wanted it to stop.  Perhaps I wasn't ready for lady salvia yet or just needed a bit more to cross the threshold.  Has anyone else experienced this blackout feeling with salvia?

I'm reluctant to state that my experiences qualify as "visuals". The only real visuals I get are the distortion of anything I'm looking at - like everything flows or swims in one direction.  Sometimes the direction changes, and one time the flow was right at me, accompanied by the sensation of being stabbed all over my front by invisible daggers or glass shards.

But I don't "see" this at all with my eyes closed. (Actually, when I chewed leaves I was able to enter the dream state with eyes closed.)

The main experience of the salvia world for me (other beings and places) does not come from the normal senses, but is just as vivid and real as anything.

I just had my first visual Saturday night July 12. It was night time with the moon out and I was near a campfire. Took an extra big hit of plain leaf and felt it coming on. I turned my head to the right and raised my back from the chair. Next the shadow generated by the moonlight (not my shadow) next to me raised itself up also and so on and so on into infinity. I could hear a playful voice saying "I'm going to raise myself up, and I'm going to raise myself up, and I'm going to raise myself up." and so on. I found it quite extrordinary.
I was never afraid. By the time I start to trip it is a dream like state. I just flow into it. That was about the 8th time using salvia, but first time to reach visuals, a first time level three. I think I understand the importance of darkness for this to occur.

its funny you say that a friend of mine always gets folded into sally space, and the first 3 times when he came back he would always point us to different places on his body where he swears he can still see the fold. for a few minutes

Cool!

Your retelling of that experience was amazing! You should post that in the Level 3 section too!

That's a genuine "Experience" [Genius +] and by sharing it with me I've added to your "Experience Points".  Grin

I think she likes you!  Blessed Be!

Also:  I think your "Reverse Tolerance" is kicking in and you are becoming more and more sensitive with each trial.
Darkness is a critical part of environmental setting! I Always close my eyes after I set the pipe down: leaving them open scrambles video into the mad effect and is more conducive to confused states during and after.

Thanks Seamac. I think you must be right about the "reverse tolerance". Strange how it works. Most things require more and more. When I have experiences I will always try to describe them if I can find the words. Thanks again, I can always count on your responses.

I never expirience visuals, but i do totally loose controle of my body and mind for a couple minites.  Much of the time i spend rolling around on the couch/floor laughing histerically and drooling on myself.  Everything looks diffornt but i dont "hallucinate"
