Trip: Some questions about salvia and powers of it.

SynapticFlatulence:  I find that my experiences can vary greatly on the same amount of salvinorin.  You could say maybe one batch varies from another but this was two different attempts from the same little baggie.  One time I was completely gone, another time I didn't even see a ripple in the wall.  I find that if you are not relaxed or if you are trying to hold a conversation with someone, whatever is weighing on your mind can win out if it's not one of the highly concentrated extracts. (20-30x)

Hehehe put your time waiting to good use and practice meditating every day.  I had my most intense experiences after I tried meditating beforehand, and if you're new to meditation it actually takes practice to learn.  Good thing is that it's easy to practice.  Just sit in a comfortable room with comfortable clothing in a comfortable chair, or on the floor if you like (Though I have some trouble that way), and repeat a mantra related to the question you need answered, make it as concise as possible so you can repeat the same words over and over without variation.  I like three words or less, or even just the object of my meditation, for example "career career career".  When you try it enough you can learn to even shut out visual and auditory stimuli.  If you don't want a particular focus you can use the Aum.  I don't know if it means anything, but for me it just blanks my mind completely.  That would be good if you aren't really sure what you're looking for.  Then when you use the salvia you can get the full effects, but I have found that having a particular goal in mind is no guarantee that your journey will be related to that goal.  If you do it right the salvia will take you where IT wants you, your only choice is whether to go there or not.  And if you used a high dose you may not even have that choice.

agreed, i wasnt clear..
i absolutely meant with extracts, especially higher than 10x. And i agree the baseline would only apply to that particular batch.
but this is something i do anyways regardless. Its wortht the extra time, an little but if wasted extract to work my way up, note it, and trip with confidence knowing that im not going to to spend a 120 second eternity in a chemically induced existential hell...

I personally find that it makes the effects stronger, and also you may theoretically direct the journey towards the issue you need insight into.  Although, I have never been able to change the theming of my visions, just how deeply I go into it.  And even then at the high potencies my own will is very weak against it.  And as far as 120 seconds of hell is concerned, I had the fun of five minutes of uncontrollable guilt and anxiety, followed by two sleepless nights.  But then I learned my lesson and have been very peaceful since.

I haven't tried smoking plain leaf, but I don't know if I would enjoy having to inhale such a large volume of smoke, especially since you need to hold it for 30 seconds.

Heh, I re-tryed yesterday, one headpiece made me having visual hallucinations, trees became orange and red, was great, but for maybe 30 seconds.
I think my tolerance is increasing

By the way, the best salvia sent me my extracts, hope I'll receive them soon, the estimated time of arrival is the 15 februar.. 
It's a first class letter by usps to my country (France), hope it will not take that time..

For some reason I always have this idea of French postal workers reading all the letters looking for erotic love notes to laugh about, and see if there's any goodies in packages, like stealing chocolates or anything else they want... I know it's probably not true but somehow I always imagine it.  But if it's money I don't think they would steal it.  I have no idea why I think that, I've never seen it in movies or TV AFAIK.

Yeah, like I said I have no basis on which to think that.  I just have a mental image of all these French guys in blue uniforms with funny old-timey hats sitting around the Marseilles central post office drinking wine , smoking cigarettes, and telling each other who's writing saucy love letters to whom.  "Oh ho ho, lewk at zees wan Mme. Dupree wrote to Mssr. Champlaign". Hehehe.. I don't know why.
