Hi guys,
Since I started using Salvia I noticed that my dreams have taken on a more realistic tone. I have been able to smell in my dreams and have not had that sensation prior to starting Salvia.

Another thing I have noticed is that I can remember many of my dreams in full detail several days after I have had them.

I must say that I look forward to bed these days as my dreams have taken on a life of there own.

Has anyone else had these feelings or experiences?

i Love dreams, I actualy practice "dreaming" or the concious effort to remember and effect your dreams. you should keep a dream journal and try to remember things like what you eat, what time you go to sleep, how long you sleep, when you wake up, what you dreamed about, the phases of the moon, (recently found this very important) what happened durring the day. then when you have that all down, you can focus on people or events(bring them into your dreams) or do events in your dreams. Ive recently been able to realize im in a dream and then be talking to someone in a dream and say "oh hey wait a minute, this is a dream, sweet brb im gunna go fly." and do it as well, recently they have been recently, only what i can describe as a "videogame" where I operate under the pretence of the fact that like i cant die, or rather i know in the back of my mind this is a dream, so i try to make the best of it, almost like a sence of trying to change who I am through situations happening in my dreams.

I dunno its all strange and tonnes of fun, I love dreaming like you said, i often cant wait to sleep so i can dream my dreams.

the whole journal thing sounds like alot of work but its more just noticing "hey i had a fighting dream, and i ate alot of pork that day" or "i was flying in this dream and i was thinking about a pretty girl before i fell asleep" that kinda thing, first things first is simply retaining your memory of the dream, SD did increase my dream retention as well as vividity(dunno if thats a word) but so have other herbs and foods, not to mention day to day practices like alchohol consumption(really lack there-of) exersize, and inter-personal relationships.  Also I would like to say that normally sex on a constant basis drains my ability to dream, unless i bond my hand with her will(thats another subject though)

anyways sounds coo-kee but ive done it anyways good luck in your dreaming, look for your hands.

I relished in your post MstryShovel as it has taken me back to my own experiences. Sometimes my dreams are so real that I often find myself contemplating what is real anyway?

I’m a firm believer in paralleling universes and that we individually create our own realities. So the whole idea of a dream as another form of reality gets my attention.

oh yes, definately. I cant tell you how many times i have to stop and differentiate between a conversation or event that happened in real life and those that happened in dreams. "hey john you remember when you told me about your grandma?", no ive never told you about my grandma

I had an incredibly real dream the other night. It was like no other I've ever experienced. I had not used Salvia divinorum for at least a week before, but I believe it must have contributed, though probably only psychologically since the substance had probably left my system by then.

This dream was very visual and I have not had any realistically visual SD experiences yet. This dream was also very close to becoming lucid, something I've always tried to accomplish but never really succeeded with. It had an involved plot and many distinct characters (me playing the lead) and symbols.

I know I've seen several trip reports describing changes to the dream scape.

I've also tried to write a dream journal but found my morning recall to be too poor to be useful, and my motivation when waking directly from a dream at night too low, so it never amounted to much.
