Looks very nice! Sorry to hear about your losses.  What is it with friends who take care of your plants, pets, etc. NEVER seem to follow instructions properly!!!!  You will come back to a fouled fishtank, chubby chihuahua, and puddles in your plants!!!!  They just think that for all these years you have been starving your animals and making dried floral arrangements from your houseplants!! LOL.  I gotta love my friends anyway.  Kiss

haha jd yeah exactly, If i ever get my friends to take care of something its a 45 minute seminar on propper care and keeping ill tell yah that much!

well if its one thing my girls are brave:

thats clemence and kaya side by side (with a bunch of seedlings around.) I just took a big cutting from clemence. seen below, thats hope.

ive got her in a dwc(i think is the right name for it) basicaly substrate is perlite in water for now, with a bit of shultz's rooting compound right around the stem (i realize this will eventualy dissolve into all the water but W.E. it was at the stem to begin with) In a week I plan on switching the water for fresh water, and the week after add some 25% strength miracle grow to the mix.

I made some pictures of the construction but they are stuck on my camera as i took them without my memory card in and cant figure out this newfangled contraption.  anyways its basicaly a gallon jug of milk that i cut in half, I ran the bubbler hose down the handle to the bottom of the top side..(where the cap is) there it bubbles up from underneath into the pearlite, and everythign stays more or less under water. I hope this works.

Cheers guys

alright so i figured i should go ahead and update this bad boy.

the cutting in the dwc mock-up didnt make it, the airstone was bubbling directly under the plant, and the medium of perlite was a bad choice as the it is less dence then water, and the bublles made cannals through it, also displaceing the cutting, and pushing the whole thing above the water mark. RIP

here is clemence, shes been doing just fine and created me a couple of babies that are doing just great(seen below)

this is a closeup of one of her stems that i pinched, i think its a perfect example of what should happen eh?

Here is Kaya still doing great (thanks seamac) this shows some semi abnormal growth but only because the stem lays almost horisontal so all of those buds are trying to come twards the light.

and finaly here are my new babies thanks to clemence

they are all being kept on life support(humidity chambers) the first one is on week 2.5 and the other two are finishing up their first week ish.
The key, ive found and posted about elsewhere but will include it is removing about 80% of the cuttings leaves down the side of the plant, then i followed Arc's guide of dipping the cut end in hydrogen peroxide, then dipping it in rooting hormone, then in the soil she goes followed by a 24/7 humidity chamber, every day ill open(in this case remove the bottle ends) breifly to exchange the air and mist the actual plant then on it goes again. Hope this helps all who are going to propagate thier plants.

Im going to finish up with a couple of pictures of the rest of my garden, all but the anyse and thyme  were started from seed

from left to right, top to bottom they are
catnip, lemon balm, Marsh Mallow, St Johns wort, Green Beans, Peppermint, purple basil, Yarrow, Anyse and Thyme
its been great raising these plants, quite the learning experience seeing them grow from a little black dot into these crazy plants.  Also amazing to see just how close many of them look (im glad i tagged them as i repotted to these pots) because the lemon balm, mothers wort and catnip leaves all look almost exactly the same (shovel/spade shaped with varigated edges. though the lemon balm stems are darker and more sturdy than the mothers wort seems to be.
ive got some in progress shots of the seedlings till now too to show some cool growth ill see if i can turn them into small gifs or something

anyways happy gardening all

oh yeah i forgot to include, that about 3-4 weeks ago i got some of this stuff

its one of those mycro-minerals/bacteria powders that we have been talking about recently, and innoculated all of my plants with , though i dont know exactly how well (it says you can sprinkle on top and then itch into the top level of dirt and it will start to grow. all of the new cuttings though have it directly sown into the soil, so im attributing the success so far to the help of those little guys. alright thanks for looking ttyl

so, im still alive, and so are my plants, infact i have a few new babies, finaly made some successfull cuttings.
mama, clemence with babies

the two in the little pots are just sunburnt (i put them out in more a sun than they were used to, but now mama shades them.

Kaya is doing very well as you can see seamac:

^^started growing some Mimosa Hostilis, such a cute little plant! Aswell got some Kanna growing

the myco-minerals thing is making everything explode, all of my 35 different plants have gotten repotted to bigger pots, and are booming, ive even talked my mom into getting some of the powder for her home garden, will be great to see everything take off.
happy gardening

Kaya is growing sideways in an attempt to escape ... (giggle)  Roll Eyes !!!!

When Salvia plants grow horizontally along the ground like that in the rain forest: they put roots down at each node and radially colonize an area! She's just following her instincts! Why not help her out and let her lean onto a pot of wet potting soil? Cut the pot away from the origin pot when the roots get deep enough ... Then make both of them repeat the process!

hah yes that she was! so i snapped her off a bit and made this little baby. who is finaly showing some signs of growth

kaya herself has exploded

i recently defoliated, then took a cutting of clemence, acctualy 2 cuttings /
you can really see how mush she can grow when you force her to grow new leaves

7 days later

I then took cuttings of the two stems heres a before and after

a month later ish

and here ill dump all the cuttings that i have which should survive.

and my mimosa and kanna plants so cute!

thanks for looking happy growing!

Hello Again: good to see you.

Thank you Very Much for the feedback!

Kaya has hit that point where they start growing really really fast.

This Validates my "Double Backup Redundancy" shipping strategy because ONLY 1 of the 3 plants I sent you survived long enough to become a "Cuttings Factory" in her own right ... accidents befell the other 2!

I'm also pleased to see those plants carrying on in their parents footsteps ...

Happy Gardening!

PS they will bloom if it gets TOTALLY Dark at night where they are ...

thanks for the comments again seamac,
one thing ive noticed is kaya, the only survivor from your batch, has some very different charachteristics than my original sd plant. the leaves themselves seem to be thicker and waxyer than clemence and her clones. aswell the clone i took from kaya is getting very well established and seemed to be doing better than the clemence clones, in terms of speed of growth. this though appon thinking of it, the plant took off for a few days then after the next watering died down in speed again. I think this is because the speed increase was due to me inoculating the water i was using with micos, and the next watering i had to use unfiltered tap water.(high chlorine count/kills off the micos) so i think thats part of it.
your breed seems to want to curl its leaves though, whereas my clemence has longer strait leaves.

anyways, they are absolutely booming. twenty days later
heres Clemence

and kaya

and 2 clemence clones

happy gardening guys good luck out there
