that sucks man, at least you have experience for when you move out Wink or go to college that dammage on the leaves is very strange. verily I say. anyone ever figure out what it was?

soap and alcohol. is trouble...(IMHO) Thats classic spray damage....
 I have never used them, on salvia, I've used then on other tougher leaved plants...cycads, cactii etc........large surface area of salvia leaves very thin thickness........... I would only use diluted horticultural oil products, and even they can cause the blackening...if you put too much oil in...(duh on me)

sorry about plants......should had them out in the living room eh!!
