Strain: Blosser
Lighting: 4 - 27watt 6500K CFL's
Grow Media/Soil Mix: hydroton
Fertilizer: none
Temperature Range: 85
Humidity: 95%
Started From: Clone
Start Date: 8/16/08

Other Details/Images:

Well I figured I would start a Grow log here with the new cutting that I got from my misfortunate accident.

After the top snapped off, i removed the larger leaves from the stem since it was in the process of making new branches on all the nodes anyways.

I used a 2 liter with an airstone and distilled water.

Wish me luck!

Lookin good. How are they doing? I'm having trouble getting all the browning to stop. I'm guessing its a humidity problem (usually is with browning issues right?), but Its a pretty wet-air warm environment. Idk.

Update:

So I pulled out the cutting after 1 week with it in the setup. I was hoping to see even the faintest sign of new root growth but was unfortunately met with nothing.

The small leaves are also  showing no growth . I'm not sure whats going on? The cutting itself still looks green and fresh. No dark spots or wilting.

I changed the water and put some rooting hormone on the end. Hopefully it will take soon.

So its been forever since my last post. Figured I would give everyone an update.

Both of the cuttings I had died and My Main plant was looking extremely grim.

Just a recap - I had a salvia plant for about two years and it never grew well at all. It only had a single stem and never produced much leaves at all.

During a routine watering the stem snapped and I was left with a small stub.

Well after leaving it alone for a month it has completely transformed to a nice healthy plant.

It split into 2 new stems and its getting extremely bushy. Never even looked close to what it looks like now!

Im so happy! Finally
