They got planted today. I took this picture with a flash.

This is their new home. Its facing south. The window gets sunlight from 9 am till 5 pm. I put curtian ups. Is it too much light to start?  It's humid in there. Should it be on a heating pad? It is around 80 degrees in there.

Can you boil the tap water and remove the chlorine?

80 degrees is just fine.  Actually if it were cooler it wouldn't hurt any.  The light levels should be low enough.  I'm not sure I would even put a cloth over it.  That rubbermaid tub will block a significant amount of light.  When summertime comes you will want to already have them acclimated to your environment because that container will get hot inside if you have a top on it.  Just remember, any closed container with clear sides and roof is a greenhouse, and will heat up accordingly.

I'd take the cloth off, asap.

Salvia isn't allergic to light, infact, mine get a good 230w of CFL light or so...  Cool

In about a week, you should pinch the top off both of them, so you'll get good lateral growth. They're already showing signs of being starved for light... The internodes (the part between leaf sets) are extremely long. Pinching should help bulk them out.

Its been a week. I cut them back. I cant take the dome off for 5 mins or they go limp. I put the dome back on and poof they reagain strength. I can actually see the leaves moving!  I don't think they are looking good. I have a 23W CWL on them. Come on someone chime in and show me how to get er done.

I would remove the bottom pair of large leaves from each plant to help it regain it's turgor pressure. The hydrostatic pressure is low: the roots aren't providing enough ...

And gently tie them to the support stakes to delay wilting ...
