haha I was using string, BAD idea. lol. Once the stems grow thick the string pierces into the plant. But oddly enough, I don't think it has caused any stress or anything to said plants. I removed the strings though. . The aquarium pump should be more than enough . I'd buy a plastic tube 'T' and one of those 'circular' tubes from the pet store and just run it near the base of your plants so that they all get equal air circulation. The computer fan isn't necessary to introduce new air since the plants already have adequate air from the water pump. You could just let it run on the inside though if you wanted. Acclimatize them, and experiment away! Happy Growin' Steve! James Thanks man! i was going to mount it on the outside for air exchange but also to bring the temperature down a bit but since you said the auarium pump would be enough then im not so sure if i need it..would it benefit it, the fan being on the inside? Also, when do you think i should start acclimatizing it? should i wait for it to outgrow the humidity chamber. i mean like i bought the stuff to make it might as well use it you know

the benefit would be just to move the air from around the leaves on the inside. Because a leaf can only absorb as much CO2 that is within it's small area around the leaf. That's why you see plants curling when they aren't getting enough circulated air. You have the air supply now, but to make it very efficient I'd toss in a small cfm fan into the chamber to help move the air. that and it'll strengthen the plants . So acclimatizing the plants would be a breeze! <-- puns. If I were you I would start fanning out the tent more often, that way you have more air circulation *hence why I said the fan wasn't necessary* then when you feel that it's time to acclimatize it, start pulling the tent off for longer periods of time . Happy Growin' Steve! James

thanks man that really helps a lot i really appreciate it.. I just bought 3 12 inch adjustable air curtains with a t adapter so im gonna make circles out of them and place them around the base of the plants so they all get new air and ill mount the fan on the inside probably in the middle or on the bottom im not sure yet..ill take some more pictures in a few days to show you what iv done. Thanks again James!

Thanks again James! yeah man, . Glad to see that you appreciate my advice ! I'd place it on an upward angle near the base of the plants, that way you get optimal air circulation . If you're buying them for 5$, grab two. That way you can have two on the bottom at opposite ends of each other for maximum air flow . I'd also just wire it to a 0.1-0.7 amp, 12 volt ac adapter, that way you don't have to worry about recharging the batteries . Happy Growin' Man!!! Glad that I'm able to help . James

Yea Ill see what I can cook up. I already have the battery holder lying around and it has an on/off switch so i can switch it on every so often so it doesn't have to be on all the time. If it doesnt work out ill look into the ac adapter...thanks again

You guys go crazy adding all kinds of superfluous items to your setups; am I the only one who likes to keep it simple and grow in ambient conditions? :p

I made a new light fixture that i place on top of my grow chamber. Made it out of a wooden box, 2 lamp holders, and an ac plug all from home depot for about 10 bucks. I'm using 2 100watt equivalent CFLs one of which is 5500k and the other is 6500k (thanks for the idea drift)

If growth has started you can pinch right now. It's really up to how large you want them before you start making them bushy.

Vertical growth will slow and 2 of the branches will start growing upwards creating 2 tops.
