Sorry for not keeping you updated - but my camera stopped working. I'll soon get new one  And, she started to grow more horizontally - I've maybe pinched her too much and I've got also first clone, which appears to survive |

Well... New camera arrived broken too, so I had to wait for another one Okay, here is a new picture (08. 07. 2009)  I had a problem with whiteflies and successfully solved it by misting with soap solution. You can see malformed leaves because of them (red circles). Tomorrow, I'll try to make clone from biggest side branch |

I don't know about mrkva- but it varies for everyone- depending on the roots your plant has. I researched and found that salvia divinorum is very dependant on the moisture in the air around it- so if you don't have a very developed root structure, the plant will wilt when acclimating alot, and maybe drop a leaf or 2; I have acclimated with a huge root system and I took the humidity dome off and waited until it would start to wilt (you have to push your plants a little) and it didn't, so I went to sleep with the dome off- it was fine in the morning- and until this day it is still fine and growing new leaves! So what I'm trying to say is:
little roots=long acclimatization
Large, developed roots=short, if any acclimatization

Well, I've removed her from humidity tent a week or so after arrival (in February), and she grows outside since then.
And about acclimatization length - i agree with nitelife. The water waporizes in leaves, and is supplied by roots. Drier climate means more vaporization which means more water needs to be supplied by roots. And sally seems to be one of the most sensitive plants I've ever raised.

Soil rooting is very easy. I put 10 small blossers into individual peat pots with a 50/50 soil to perlite a few weeks ago and put them in a shallow pool of water for automated watering in a humidity chamber- I went on vacation for a week and they have huge roots now. None failed.
