Strain: Blosser
Lighting: 100W Compact fluorescent bulb equivalent
Grow Media/Soil Mix: Potting Soil with some Peat Moss
Fertilizer: None yet
Temperature Range:70F-80F
Humidity: >50%
Started From: Clones
Start Date: May 2008

Other Details/Images:

I combined an old hoody, eisel, lamp socket, timer, old comforter packaging, aluminum foil, and a 100 watt bulb equivalent to create a miniature greenhouse for my salvia plants. I currently have two, though I started with four (bugs and rot claimed the first two), but I've gotten those issues sorted out with patience and Neem oil, and I now have two healthy Salvia plants. Comforter packaging makes a nice humidity environment  Grin. The timer makes sure the plants get over 16-17 hours of light per day.

Well, that's it for now.

Here are the plants outside of the humidity bubble. Sorry, my camera is breaking rapidly.

Some leaves have had to have dead parts removed as they had rotting episodes in the past with weak light and other conditions that were to be desired. Bamboo stakes currently add some support to them as well.

I thought of using a comforter bag, too! It seemed too fidly for me, though. I worried about it collapsing on the plants. I'm pleased you found a way to make it work for you.
