Hi folks! This is my first time to growing salvia.

First, sorry my bad english...
08.06.2007 i get two cuttings from my friend. I planted them right a way, in aguafarm...They were looking good and healthy, nice rooted plants.

My Set Up:

Strain:
Unknown
Growing in:
GHE Aguafarm (hydroponic system.)
Lights:
250w sodium pressure lamp.
"Mist maker" controlled with timer.
Growth solutions:
Advanced hydroponics of holland, I give them nutrients just same amount what i have given to cannabis plants...

Here are my babies just 3 days after i planted them. I give them light 16/8h. I give nutrients half of the strenght, until the roots getting bigger...

Here they are at 11 days old, grows very fast in hydro. Now i give the nutrients 3/4 of strenght...Lets see what happens. Leaf tips are getting to dry, i think they`ll little bit stressed, cause i´ll have taken them out of the humidity tent yesterday. I have no patient, i have removed them out of tent, within 11 days.
I make few air holes in the tent, every few days, and try to get them used to dry air.

3 weeks behind, They´ll getting better Smiley  I give now full strenght of nutrients, just same amount than cannabis plants. Now they are actually started
to grow reeeaal fast. Cheesy

5 weeks 3 days... I take rest of my pot plants in the nature... But sally´s doing fine, they grow very well in hydro...
Hydro + salvia= too much salvia, too fast.

7 weeks now... And they grow beautifully... And this it what they looks like now... Two rooted cuttings i planted in soil.

9 weeks now... I began to thinkin of harwesting them...possibly soon....hmmm... well let´s see what happens Cheesy  I don´t wanna harvest them,
i love them...

heres the biggest leaf it is 37centimeters and 14,56 inches, weight is 9 grams in fresh...

I like your plants.

Beware: If salvia can get her roots into the nutrient piping she will plug them up by growing long roots into them. Salvia plants are greedy: but I don't mind.

Check now to be sure roots have not invaded your nutrient solution pipes please.

They can´t get roots there, i have an thick filter at the end of the nutrient pipe on a bottom tank, where it lifts the nutrient solution into upper tank.
Very interresting plants, they have grown now much bigger than what they are in those pictures. Nice to watch them grow.
They are now 5 weeks old, but i don´t have own camera, so i keep updating when i can borrow a camera for someone...
I just notice that there is allready topic for grow logs, sorry for everyone, i wrote this diary at the wrong place...
Moderators can move this where it´s belongs.

They DO go good together but I don't think they are ever going to get that close!

Salvia has a SQUARE Hollow stem very flobity (like celery without the strings) while Mary has a round solid stem and you just can't line the Xylem and Phloem up with the other part no matter which is stock and which is scion.

I love that setup, sweet shit. Its nice to have another good hydro grower on here. I see those beautiful cannabis plants right there, they look great next to the lady Salvias.

This might do better to add as a grow log, but its fine here for now.

Hell yeah! Awesome hydro system! Your plants seem to be loving it. Is that a drip system? And did you build it yourself? If you did I would be greatful to let you post a guide on how to build one...if you would like.
