Thanks Sea Mac - unfortunately what you see under the 2nd December photos is how big she is right now... only took the photos a few days ago. First month virtually no real growth... just getting stablized or something.... and since then its been really slow to get going, but seems to be gradually getting faster at growing. Hopefully that will continue!

Any tips on speeding up growth? As I mentioned, shes outside with many hours of direct sunlight each day, watering every day, liquid blood and bone fertilizer once a week.... theres nothing else I can really do to (organically) encourage speedy growth is there?

higher humidity levels make sd explode. If shes outside  and unless you live in florida  or georga, im guessing the humidity is around 30-40% max, if you REALLy feel you need to speed her growth you could bring her inside and put your plant under humidity tent, or a humidifyer on a timer right next to her. otherwise, just let her be, i dont know anything about this boneandblood fert your using, but you could look at its chemical analisis and see if its got the right minerals for stem and leaf growth, not forgetting the roots. of course,

also this time of year with the waning daylight hours, your plant could be trying to decide if it was going to flower, and thus slowed/stopped its leaf growth. I think my plant did this untill i bumped its timed light-hours up, now shes finally focusing on her leaves.

Oh I'm on the other side of the planet, so our summer is just cranking up Smiley

Average humidity for november was 74% apparently. Lowest of 21% and highest of 99%. December will be lower average humidity though i'd say.

The blood and bone fertilizer says "NITROSOL has a balanced N.P.K. of 8.3.6. plus minerals and trace elements."

ahh IC, WELL THEN concidering you live in another country, im guessing aus? anyways i would just let her get settled, if she is just now getting to grow some leaves after a month of inactivity, you will see an exponential growth rate shortly.

good luck grow!

Very nice, it seems like she is growing quite fast now. I have to complement you on your pictures, they always look so crisp. Your plant looks almost perfect.

Cool thats good to hear  Smiley  I'm hoping its growth continues to accelerate, but as I mentioned in my 28 Jan blurb, its all a learning experience being my first attempt, so whatever I learn I should hopefully be able to improve on in future.

Regarding the photos, thanks! I'm only using the still photo mode on my sony dvcam which I think takes 1280x1024 photos - perhaps its my resizing of the pictures which helps them look crisp hehe. The only reason I started resizing to that smaller size was for my own private sites layout where I was keeping the log initially, before deciding to flag that and just post the whole growlog here instead. Maybe I should resize from my originals once more, but to a larger size, so more detail is visible? I'm not sure how much space I've got to work with if people are using low resolutions. Nothing more annoying than having to scroll sideways in forums Wink Pet peeve of mine lol

I re-size my pictures to 700 pixels width, which I think most monitors can handle while still showing a decent amount of detail.

I also really like your photos here too (your plant isn't shabby either  Wink ). It's mostly because you use natural lighting without a flash and because you can keep it still. I know with my crappy camera any time I don't use the flash I have to try and be as still as possible and even with that 1 in 3 pictures is actually decent. The next camera I get I definitely want a still-mode feature. Natural lighting pictures are always better looking and provide for proper, realistic lighting contrasts. In short, the pictures just look more real.

Thanks darty - yeah I guess you're right about the pics huh. I also might try resizing my originals once more to get a closer level of detail.
