EVERYONE THAT READS THIS, THIS IS IMPORTANT TELL ME WETHER YOUR LEAF EDGES ARE BROWNING THEN TELL ME WETHER YOU USE DISTILLED OR TAP WATER SEND IT MESSAGE FORM FOR DATA,  !TESTING!

Strain: Blosser
Lighting: 26 watt CFL
Grow Media/Soil Mix: miracle gro
Fertilizer: miracle gro
Temperature Range: 65-80
Humidity: 40%
Started From: Clone
Start Date: November 14 2007

Ok wasnt going to good for me so i made hydro system planted them some had no roots, in hope of development i planted em

Water is pooled in the bottom with air house going to it, see hydroponics cheap DWC system for the one with bottom in ductape

Well there were probably a couple reasons they died, one obvious one was two much water and i made sure i submerged the bottom only slightly o well, also there was
ammonia being released from somewhere, i suspect the soil had some left over fertilizer, or it was the little mineral sticks, next time (if there is another try at growing, hard as hell to get started)
i will try to go alot more natural just soil or hyroponics with no added minerals or chemicals.

PS. Anyone aware of status salvias status in Indiana?

They look pretty good, for ebay plants Smiley.

Are you sure you're using a halogen and not a CFL bulb?

It looks like some of the plants are getting rooted in a low concentrate miracle-gro solution. Is that recommended?

If they do root, I'd recommend building a simple Ebb and Flow hydro system. My plants are thriving after only two weeks in the system. Another plus is that it is almost no maintenance except for changing the nutrient solution, and you only have to change that every couple of weeks. A minus would be the cost to build one, but well worth it in my opinion.

Also gambusiamesh is a very reputable seller of Salvia plants on ebay. That's where I bought mine and they were very healthy. He also has great post sale communication if you have questions about the care of your plants. (Although, now that I think about it, the photos of the salvia plants sold on salvia source look very much like the ones gambusiamesh uses on ebay...)

Excited to see how they will do, Good Luck!

while these cuttings are setting root, i would reccomend keeping them out of direct light, just use the ambient light of your room to let them set root. the lights kill roots dead, like raid

Yeah, and a humidity tent really encourages rooting too.

you have the same room environment as i do and I couldn't make anything grow until i started using humidity tents. salvia LOVES humidity, and you can always acclimate it back to a dry environment once it's growing stronger and healthier. they look like they'll do fine with a couple adjustments. good luck!!

Yeah, try not to lose hope...I know it's tough, I'm in the same situation you are. In the past I have had a plant grow back from a seemingly dead chopped off stump. Just keep her in high humidity and hope for the best. Good luck.

I'd immediately take out any of the stems that are rooting in miracle grow, and start rooting them in pure distilled water...

try distilled/bottled water (to distill all u really need to do is boil for 10 minutes then run it thru a brita filter) i do that en-masse and store it in gallon jugs of arizona tea. then one is my fert mix and one plain, then i alternate the bottles between waterings.
