I've got more than one tree.

That's my largest remaining tree - Calvin.

But don't forget Iggy or Caleb or Isabel or Jack or Quarm or Edgar or HENRY ...

Or 4 more trees not seen or named in this recent photograph ...

I'm TRYING to get RID of Some of these you know ...

(I'm about to try making an infusion on a matate from about 100 Leaves ... )

Your trying to get rid of them eh? The look so healthy compared to mine (and mine aren't even that bad off ). I would gladly take a few off of your hands for you. Maybe we could arrange a plant trade/swap deal or something?

Don't you live in Southern California? I encourage people to come get them ...

Nah, I live in North Carolina actually. I suppose we could send cuttings through the mail or something, hopefully they would survive the long trip.  :?

Hi all!

It's been a few weeks.

They didn't stop growing.

Sally and Sammy are over 8 feet tall now: they are exactly 8 months and 3 days old now!

Here:

Sammy is way out of my reach! He was born on Jan. 31st 2007 and 8 months later (Feb. - Sept.) needs repotting.

I'm planning on getting all those 10" branches he's covered with off of him today - as cuttings.

Then, when he's had a haircut, I'll try to move him from a 12" pot to a 16" pot. I'm going to wrestle a shrub taller than me and hope I don't hurt him.

I'm dwarfed by large healthy Salvia shrubs!

Calvin grew into the tarp over him and got broken. There is a branch leaning against the wall up there and he's going for the gap between the tarp and the wall! He plans to colonize the roof area "Above the Jungle Canopy" with dozens of branches!

Sneaky GIANT Plant!

Namaste, friends!

Your Salvia forest continues to amaze me. Heh, I saw you had a Gecko shirt on...its been a while since I've seen one of those. I used to have one. Those are some badass shirts.

Hey I'm curious, are you doing any research with Salvia currently. I know you call yourself a researcher and you've plenty of material to work with, so I thought I'd ask. I, on the other hand, have my plants growing at the lab and I'm just waiting for them to get big enough so I can start my experiments...so I'm really jealous of your plants.

What, you need leaves?

Calculate how many huge leaves would be leftover after each of these branches turned into cuttings:

of course they are not all pristine ...

I'm hoping to better Document the Salvia divinorum sexual reproductive cycle: from hand pollination to fertile seeds ...

Because I've documented it once already ...  Roll Eyes   Roll Eyes

And the flowering alarm clock in my garden went off in mid October the last 3 years in a row ... It's time to dust off my 'grow own seeds' web site and ready it for fresh data ...  Sure that plants are going to flower again right on cue.

The pipe sticking out of the wall is at 9 feet above the cement. Calvin is in a 24" tall/ 24" wide pot. His pot is on a metal trivet about 3 inches above ground. A couple of branches are a foot or 2 above that pipe. Below find 3 different views of the SAME Exact plants TONIGHT ...

YOU figure out How big he is.

TOO BIG! I can't stop such vigorous growth.

My garden is becoming a popular place to hang out nowadays.

(Pay no attention to the giant with the lightning bolt flashing in his hand ... )

I haven't had much forum time lately, fellows: sorry ...

But I thought about you guys right away: "they should see this photo of a pollinator molesting my Salvia plants for nectar ... " this kind of pollinator photo documentation is still relatively rare.
