It is 9 inches wide 15 inches long, lots of room for roots.

Seems like a great natural alternative for LST when used with salvia. I wonder though with the way salvia migrated towards light if she'll try in just pull a U-turn on you.

She will be ouside so i don't think she will have to turn upwards to recieve enough light, but i do wonder how the leaves will turn,  but  time will tell us.

If this works it would be cool to try growing her under a light to see if she would come out from under the pot and grow upwards twards the light

She still has no name but is growing really great, as soon as the roots reach the bottom of the pot she will be planted into the topsy turvy, i figure  one more week she will be ready as her pot is very small Roll Eyes

I anticipate some interesting results from this one! Best of luck Peaches. If you manage to have any luck with this one, I might make an attempt of my own with one of the cuttings I'm getting. Sure would make harvesting from bigger plants a little easier!

Well do to bad weather, this experiment was put on hold.

I am planting a different clone that shown above as it grew to big to use so i  have used a smaller busher one .

So let us see how she grows.

I am going to plant some babies from this airplane plant in the top side , they are setting roots in the nursery right now Grin

i think it will look nice weather sally grows up or down Roll Eyes

I have the feeling that regardless of how much light it recieves it will grow upward towards the sun.  Plants have a tendency to adjust themselves to the lightsource, for instance, a plant growing upwards naturally will bend over if the light source is only coming from the side.  Either way I'm still interested in seeing how well it grows.

I wonder how it would look if you staked it upside down?

Maybe worth a comparison. Staked Upside-down grow vs. Unstaked Upside-down.

I was just going to do an update once a week on this grow, but i thought it was a good idea to tell you all what is going on with this sally.

First  thing I have named her twister, and here is why.

When i went out this morning i saw that all but the middle branch has already curling upward, i thought to myself, wow that was fast.

Then all day while i was working with the flowers and such, i noticed her stems and leaves were twisting and shifting in different directions all day long ,  looked as if  she had been in a wind storm.

I am guessing this is because the light was changing direction and the pot is blocking the light and she is confused.  I felt kinda sorry for her Sad

I am courious how long she will do this, so tomorrow i am going to keep the camera handy and document  the changes threw the day.

It is kinda intresting to see so much movement in a days time, seems like it would take away energy for growth, there was no transplant shock so i know that will not slow the growth down.

m0ng00se,
