I pinched my mamma and she's splitting sally's from the side.  Grin

Soon they'll be big enough to harvest. The good thing is if you pick them she'll just grow them back.

Winter is upon us here in SA so I had to move sally indoors. I had to put her in a messy apartment where I am busy renovating.

Spring is in the air and it's time for.... Some heavy artilliry.







This particular reed pole aint as strong as chinese bamboo but they do just fine. Just duct tape the bottom end to keep moisture from them and seal the tips. Also duct tape the top tip to keep it from splitting(I used insulation tape instead of duct tape, that stuff is expensive here)

The are really sturdy the way I tied them. You can even make music from them if you pluck on the cable tie strips.  Grin
