To me looks like some sort of Datura. Cut a stem, what is the color of the sap ?

Tracked down the owner of the plant,,it is a MANDEVILLA!!!!,it does incredible with more light,,some species are indrecible invasive climbers, this one climbs but stays simple and compact!!,perfect for me!!  Grin

Also known as "Brazilian jasmine", it grows indigenously there, this particular one is called "Stars and Stripes"

This particular one is actually called a "sun parasol" stars and stripes variety..it only grows to a bout 6-8ft..heres a pic..

Glad you got an ID!!! It does resemble Trumpet vine in flower design. We have a ton of trumpet vines growing where I work so I knew it looked familiar. Leaf structure was not the same as a trumpet vine though.

Thats how i knew it wasn't the trumpet, the leaves were different , very easy to grow!!, if anybogy is interested in a cutting one day, i will be obliged!!  Wink
