This is the Trichcoereus bridgesii (I think var monstrose?) cutting that teo sent me. its in a mix of cactus soil and perlite.
any advice on growing it?

That is a t.bridgesii. No way is that var monstrose, lol.
Monstrose bridgesiis either look like a smooth hulk's dick with rarely any spines (clone A), or a clumping monster with few, but large spines.
I reccomend let it go dormant in the winter and give it real good lighting in the summer.

There's no way that's monstrose, that looks like a standard bridgesii.
