I brewed some poppy seed tea this evening. 600 grams of seed did nothing for me. I think it may because I'm one of those weird mutant people who don't make enough of the enzyme that converts codeine to morphine in vivo. Codeine has never done anything for me at any dosage.

The seeds should also, however, have a trace of morphine residue as well as codeine and thebaine. perhaps, these where some of those seeds that were washed and baked a bit too well.

I would just stick to Kratom, that stuff is amazing. The Kratom I bought from Siebert is top notch and was surprisingly active at just 6 grams! I will be using 8 grams next time though. :}
We need to keep this herb a secret to only those responsible enough to handle it. If it becomes the next target by the media because kids in school are doing it, it will be banned and unavailable to responsible users. This is the last thing we need, another precious gem smashed to the ground. Be responsible, keep it secret.

just plant some poppys walmart sell vible seeds(look for hens and chicks or orenentl poppy) as long as you dont let some one else in on the pod no one will really mind if you grow some

I just bought some new kratom from iamshaman. It was the "private reserve kratom"  for $25.00 Oz. Does anyone here have any experience with this type of kratom? The only kind I have ever tried was Sieberts' wild kratom and that is some really good stuff! Excellent for severe pain relief. I honestly think kratom should replace pharmaceutical opiates, it is way stronger than any form of hydrocodone yet it is not addictive(to me).
What are your favorite types of kratom? I am more of a conniseur type so I always look for a higher pricetag.

They say it's from their private reserve farm in India and is only available in limited quantities. The price is 2.5 times more expensive than their premium commercial grade leaf. It says that it is 3 times more active than commercial leaf!
It's not the red vein kratom either, I guess it's just a much more potent green vein. It has to be better quality because it is higher priced than both the red vein and commercial.
Have you tried the red vein? How does it compare to green vein, and what dosage is your favorite?
I have tried 6 grams of wild kratom my first time and got great effects from it, very opiate-like. The second time I drank kratom I used 8 grams and was feeling drunk instead of opiated.
Is there a reason for this? I mean I know that at low doses it's stimulating and high doses sedating, but does it lose it's opiate effects at higher doses?
This was strange to me as I was hoping a higher dose would get me more opiated, instead it got me feeling uncoordinated and drunk-like. Go figure.

I just had some of my private reserve kratom yesterday. I brewed up 7 grams and was completely knocked off my feet. I can't believe that only 7 grams could give such a euphoric effect. It just felt like my mind was disconnected from my body and my body was floating off to oblivion. I did not feel any mind fog or retarded feelings like I can with other herbs, this just made everything GREAT! No matter what negative stresses are in my life, I can trust kratom to bring me to bliss and make everything OK. I actually prefer the feeling over all other herbs, legal or illegal. I have honestly fell in love with kratom, it cures both my physical and emotional pain.

Not only that, but alkaloid Mitagynine found in Kratom is not an analog of anything that is already controlled in the USA. Thus, it may be baffling to the DEA, and they do not know what to think of it.

I would not talk about such things as harvesting opium, you take that step at your own risk. I have NEVER etracted anything from poppies myself as it is highly illegal and punishable federally. Not to mention real pure opium is EXTREMELY addicting, and being a good friend I don't recommend you take this route. It almost took my life from me long ago. No matter how much control you think you have with substances like opium, heroin or prescription pain killers, it will always eventually take your control away and you will be it's slave. It is not worth the risk my friend...let this one go. I would stick to Kratom as I have found it to be non-addictive unless abused everyday. I restrict my use of Kratom to Fridays only. I do not allow myself to go over this limit and have not found it difficult to follow these rules. I treat it like a social alcohol occasion.

Alright, Sorry mate, thanks for the advice, I'll step away from that, I do enjoy the painless feeling though, I have really bad back pain as well as neck and some joints, and I remember after a surgery I had something like codeine prescribed I only used one dose because the post surgical pain wasnt that bad, but the mellow painless feeling was great, I wasnt totally drowsy and could still function, just with no pain. Is there anything like that around.. that is legal I mean, I dont want any problems with the law, but I'll definitely stay away from harvesting, since its a big safety thing. Id prefer to have something I can just chew

Have you tried good quality kratom yet? I have found the most potent kratom I have ever tested to be private reserve kratom. That stuff provides strong pain relieving effects at a 7 gram dosage better than that of prescription pain killers. If you do have severe pain this stuff is a God-sent miracle. DO NOT go over 7 grams your first try with private reserve, it is truly strong stuff. Anyways be safe if you choose to work with kratom and set guidelines to limit it's use to once a week at most. I always order mine from iamshaman.com. They have great quality and service there and I have yet to be dissappointed by their service. Their shipping is extremely fast and their prices are good there.
An ounce of Private Reserve Kratom goes for $25.00 and about $4.95 shipping&h. 7 grams seems to be the perfect dose for pain relief, just don't drive after using it. You do have to make a tea with it though which is pretty easy and only takes 15-18 minutes.
For one dose you take 2 cups of water and brind it to a boil, turn the heat down to a simmer and add 7 grams of kratom, stirring every 4 minutes. simmer the tea for exactly 15-18 minutes. After the simmering, turn off the heat and strain the tea through an orange juice strainer to collect the leaf material, squeze the leaf to drain any remaining juice into the tea. Add some honey( or sugar) and lemon if you desire and wait for the tea to cool a bit before enjoying. I drink my tea over a span of about twenty minutes.
Make sure that you have everything important out of the way before you prepare to drink the tea as it can be quite strong and may reqiure you to remain laying down. If you experience any nausea, lay down, close your eyes and wait and it ussually goes away quickly. Moving around too much seems to activate nausea at pain relieving doses which is why I suggest you make sure that you are not going to be disturbed during the tea session.
