I have been looking into kratom for some time now, interested in the claimed effects I am going to give it a try. However, I do not know where to get the best, most potent leaf material. I do not want to buy from some bogus seller and be disappointed by the effects. My question is, who do YOU trust to buy kratom from? I see many sites selling it but have heard that some of it isn't even real kratom. Someone please point me in the right direction.
Peace, HS.

iamshaman and sagewisdom are both tops. You'll spend a bit more but you know what your getting is legit.
I currently have an order in with kratomking for some full spectrum extract and a sampler pack of leaf, I'll report back and let you know if they are legit.

Right on. I've seen the sage wisdom site offering kratom. If it's being owned by Siebert I completely trust him. $40 an oz is a little bit more than most sites but I guess you get what you pay for huh! Have you seen the price of his salvia leaf? OMG that shit is expensive. I think I saw an OZ going for $125, that must be some powerful salvia. I can get 5 grams of 20x extract for that price, through a friend of mine that is. I really want to start growing kratom in my sacred herb garden, that would be nice. Right now I'm trying to get some scletium tortuosum and some calea zacatechichi started, no luck yet. I also have two different stains of Salvia Divinorum. This is going to be quite some herb garden when I'm done. I just bought a 2' 2 bulb T5 HO fixture for the garden because what I had before was inferior. I had been using a 2' T12 that only put out 1,600 lumens total.

We sell a few Kratom products, but only for UK residents, I'm afraid. Sad

Kratom's pharmacology shares some elements of the activity of other substances including opiates and yohimbine. The comparison to opiates is valid at doses high enough to produce these effects. Kratom has the ability to alleviate withdrawal in people dependent on opiates owing to the mu receptor agonism of mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. Kratom may cause constipation at these doses. It produces analgesia similar to weaker opiates such as codeine. Kratom also has a yohimbe-like stimulant activity, and uncaria-like immunostimulant activity. Kratom's effects are reported to be relatively short-lived, typically fading after two hours or less.

I have to disagree with the last part of that quote. I find that taking extract the effects last anywhere from 4-6+ hours.

I tried Kratom for the first time yesterday.
I ingested 8grams of prenium Thai (powdered in some chocolate milk).
It feels like you are clear, but you are very relaxated and in peace, it's also stimulating.

Depending on the dosesge of course, but I find 1.5-1.8 grams of 15x extract to be almost identical to taking 2-3 vicodin/percocets.
However i find it longer lasting,Less head fog though and more energy.

is kratom like opium?

Some have compared it to a combo of opium and either coffee or coca.
