I have been doing alot of research lately on Kratom, Psychotria Viridis and Coffee, and have come to an interesting conclusion. These three plants that come from the same family all have different uses that cover pretty much any need. As we know, Kratom is a powerful opiate-mimicking plant which has stimulation at low doses while providing analgesia(pain relief) and sedation at high doses. Psychotria Viridis contains .10-.61% active alkaloids 99% of which is dimethyltryptamine(DMT) a hallucinogenic chemical used in ayahuasca. Coffee as we know is the beverage that wakes us up in the morning and contains caffeine, a stimulating substance with a half-life of 4 hours.
Just these three plants have so much potential in the field of medicine, all coming from the same family. Of course DMT is illegal here in the U.S. so there really is no hope for any studies being done in the medical field on this plant. Kratom should be studied thoroughly as a morphine replacement as it is much less addictive and just as effective IMHO. I see these people come to the pharmacy, way before their prescriptions have run out, wanting immediate refills on narcotic painkillers. That stuff is ruining peoples lives more than it is helping them! I would know because it happened to me which is why I do not use anything made by man, I stick to the raw materials grown by plants. My motto is "If nature doesn't provide it, I don't want it."
I just thought it was interesting that these three plants all have valuable uses in spirituality, recreation and medicine. This is just another example of how nature provides EVERYTHING we need...

What do you guys think?
