Has anyone heard of this plant? Supposedly identified by Gordon Wasson with similar effects as Salvia.

Wow, I just did a google search on sinicuichi it and it sounds like it is easy to grow in a colder climate. There isn't much information that I could find on the plant though. I headed over to Bouncing Bear Botanicals and they have seeds of it for $5 a pack.

On a side note, does anyone know if this plant is referenced in the book "The Encyclopedia of Psychoactive Plants: Ethnopharmacology and Its Applications"? I want to pick this book up from amazon, but it is a bit pricey...

From the limited info I've found (wikipedia, erowid) it seems like a very very easy plant to grow with interesting effects. I think I'm pick up some seeds and see how it goes.

I was just reading through the erowid experience reports and it seems that the majority of people find that the tea method makes your muscles ache and that smoking the plain leaves has no real effect. The best way I could find was to make your own extract and smoke that.

Well I ordered the Sinsuichi seeds along with Wild Dagga seeds and Dream Herb seeds. I'll start a grow log for them when they arrive. I think it will complement the Salvia nicely in my indoor garden.

One has tried it before. It is more of a sedative then a visionary plant. It can cause some visual alterations, gives things a yellow tint like looking through yellow sun-glasses, and auditory effects, like as if one were in a tunnel.

Hey, JARG

I was interested in growing the wild dagga and sinsuichi, can you link me to where you bought them from?

Sure, but I don't know if I would buy them from the same source. I have only gotten my Sinicuichi to sprout. My Wild Dagga and Dream herb have yet to do anything after a few months of trying. Anyway the Sinicuichi almost all sprouted and it's only $5 a seed pack with tons of tiny seeds. The only way I got them to sprout though was to put them in the fridge for a few weeks first. I think it has something to do with the seeds have to go through a "winter" season before they will sprout afterwards. Here is where I bought them from:
