I'm nearly ready to begin growing and was curious if live salvia plants are safe for my cats?
I plan to keep them away from them as much as humanly possible, But its pretty much inevitable that they will sneak in and nibble on them like they do all my other plants..
i just want to make sure curiosity doesnt kill my cats!
Salvia is Absolutely SAFE for all House pets!
I state this as a fact BECAUSE I specifically wrote an email to Daniel Siebert asking him about it (because I planned on Giving Salvia plants to cat owners). He replied that Salvia is non-toxic.
I eat leaves all the time:

They are slightly bitter. Your cat could feast on that whole bundle and not suffer any ill effects.
Cats will nibble and then go lie down to meditate. They won't eat much ...
No worries mate: your cat is safe! Welcome to the forum and Happy growing!

excellent, thank you for the info!
Daniel is shipping my plant monday so i hope to have her by thursday/friday.
Its only carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, so i didnt think it would be toxic, but one never knows. never hurts to ask.
