I've been actively looking for a live salvia divinorum plant here in southwestern Ontario, Canada for well over a year now. I have checked pretty much every garden center, nursery, etc that could possibly have one... but NO ONE is carrying these plants. I can't even find extract or dried leaves anywhere!!! Even though salvia is perfectly legal here. All the plant stores have many other types of salvia such as "Salsa Purple" salvia and the more common garden varieties, but NEVER divinorum.

I've even searched the web, but all the sites I find only ship to the US... even if they shipped from US to Canada I don't know if live plant material would make it across the border.

Please help me out... I've been researching this plant and wanting one for years now. Are there ANY suppliers in Canada?

Whereabouts in southwestern Ontario?

Richters will ship to you no problem, but they're probably all sold out this year... Place an order around JANUARY of 2009, and you'll get them by June 2009.

Salvia is *very* hard to find in Ontario, unless you can make a trip to Toronto. NO plant store will have it unless they deal with entheogenic plants. PERIOD. There's a store in Toronto called THC (Toronto Hemp Company, clever ain't it) on Yonge street (I think the address is around 650 or something) that should have rooted plants for sale. I supplied them with 20 cuttings during the winter, and their garden is absolutely huge now.

If you need extracts, I'm located in Oakville, and can help you in that regard.

Good luck!

So I have to wait another year? Damn.. .I google'd Richters and they have Salvia listed on their site at $15.... would they explicitly say if they are sold out, or should I send them an email? Looks like they have a 6 plant minimum order, but I could probably re-sell those... it seems like there is a huge business opportunity here if there is really no main source to get Salvia in Ontario outside of Toronto.

I live in the London-area (about an hour away.) We have a store here called tHEMPtations specializing in that kind of paraphernalia, but they don't even have salvia extract. I don't plan to go to Toronto in the near future.

So basically my only chance is finding someone in my city willing to offer/sell cuttings... I guess I can try the local classifieds website.

Well, call them and see what they have on hand! They generally *do* say when they're out though, so you might be in luck.

You can always order 3-4 Salvia plants, and 2-3 really cheap plants as well, that still counts towards your "6" Wink. I got some stevia plants which are great in tea!

But other than that, I do believe it's your only recourse... I mail extracts globally too.

Good luck!

Richters had them in stock just a couple weeks ago as I got mine there. Just search for "Diviner's Sage" on Richters.com. I placed my order of 1 Diviner's Sage and 5 Garden sage plants on May 15th and received them June 4th. I would call them and verify that they have them in stock, but I can verify that they had them in stock recently.

I emailed them and they said they are taking orders but they probably wouldn't ship for 3-4 weeks, I dunno if I want to put an order or not for those kinds of prices though. hmm

It's pretty much your only choice though.

Arcy is right, I had placed an order with greenstranger.com in California and had to wait over 12 weeks for that order to arrive. (I'm picking them up tomorrow). Most places seem to be back ordered quite a bit.
