Music On Salvia

What do you like to listen to on Salvia? Suggest good artists to listen to. Tell about what you interpreted in the music or anything else.
I really like reggae. Recently I listened to Carbine by Black Uhuru. Being on Salvia got me to feel the world in different way. I felt an amazing interconnectedness with the universe. While listening to this particular song I felt as if I was in an extreme state of peace and that no matter what happened I could just not worry and let my insignificance be cradled by the governing force of the universe...if that make sense. Read the lyrics to the song if your interested:

Personally, Royksopp is one of my absolute favourites.
Also, Spongle is really good too.
I have found that, while using salvia, music helps as a good grounding point.
First off, it lets you know "oh hey, something familiar in a crazy place," and second off, it can help
deepen the experience hugely, because sometimes I feel restless, and can just focus on the music
and let sally take me where she will.

I completely agree, music definitely helps ground you. However, you gotta have the right kind. One time I listened to rap, it was Natural Born Killers by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre after smoking some 10x out of a pipe. Although very interesting and kinda cool, the experience was quite scary. I was staring at one of those Windows Media visualizations and it created this insane evil presence. It felt like it was invading my mind and I could not escape from it. I wanted to look away from the red color visualization, but for some reason I felt I had to keep staring at it.
Spongle and Royksopp are interesting, I'll try listening to them for my next experience. I listened to some clips on Amazon, cool stuff.
The thing about music is if it has lyrics they will be most likely what directs the thoughts of your trip. So I think if you really want to have an interpersonal experience its good to do it with instrumental music or in silence. However, lyrics can be amazing, but I prefer lyrical music with lower doses (up to Level 3) of Salvia.

You've heard this guy's work: you just don't know it!
iTunes/iPod link to the Album I listen to on Salvia:
http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/browserRedirect?url=itms%253A%252F%252Fax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net%252FWebObjects%252FMZStore.woa%252Fwa%252FviewAlbum%253Fid%253D30887275%2526s%253D143441
Or maybe this is the link:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=30887275&s=143441
If you have an iPod it'll launch iTunes for you! You can hear 30 seconds of each of these songs! My favorites are S-Scape (Salvia has adopted it as her theme music!) / Warriors / Relay Breakdown / and Into the Abyss.
Or else you can check this guy out here:
http://www.synergy-emusic.com/
I've made a CD using ALL of these tracks plus 2 other Synergy Tracks ("Synergy" {from the first album he did} and "Delta One" {From the "Games" album}) and "3+3" from Vangellis' album "Spiral" to make the perfect sound track for a Quid ... Shall I send you a copy of a very spacey electronics soundscapes CD for Salvia exploration with? Be warned: It's high intensity in a way you have not felt before!

Interesting, very majestic and positive sounding. Seems like it would get your trip going in a good direction.
Heres an amazon link in case anyone doesnt have iTunes (like me):

The first time I did salvia I put on the self titled album by Twine
http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?r=1&ean=804297901824
Very interesting album, whenever I listen to it I think of salvia and how relaxed I was. It's a very chill CD, and it might just put you to sleep (as it does my friends
)

I listen to what I always listen to... The same thing I used to DJ awhile back.
Really hard, techno-trance. I've seen some truly glorious things...

Just tried salvia with music today and Buckethead's "Chicken Noodles" was great for it, really chill stuff (just one guitar and one keyboard) and the song actually became the main focus of the trip for me. I'm a huge music nerd so hearing any kind of music in a new way is fascinating to me. Here's the amazon link if anyone wants to check out the samples:

well im a huge metalhead!!! ( all shall perish, through the eyes of the dead, whitechapel, the faceless. black dahlia murder, are all my favs ) but i dont ever think that would be good stuff to listen to while on salvia
and it makes my friends laugh when they flip through my ipod and find classical piano up there.(considering im die hard metal and the frontman of a band) but i have found that that is the best stuff to listen to when on salvia. although i have listened to *select* korn songs and also found some positive aspects of music like that also. but classical piano is the greatest to me. and btw anyone who hasnt heard of the bands listed in parenthesis should check them out if they are in to metal or open minded.

Listening to The Black Dahlia Murder right now, Nocturnal is amazing if you don't have it already
. I've been thinking about listening to metal while on salvia (I'm a huge metal head as well) but I'm a little worried about having a bad trip, maybe I'll just try with plain leaf the first time. This sounds really interesting now, I'll have to pick out some songs to "work my way up" to heavier stuff for next time I do it(I think Carcass or Meshuggah could be really cool).

When the time comes, I'll go with the Lake of Tears album "Crimson Cosmos", particularly the song Cosmic Weed. It would propably work.
If there's someone who wants to really fuck up their mind, try Delirium Cordia album by Fantomas. (look it up
)
It's really scary when listening to it totally sober. I can't imagine what it would do to someone tripping on any drug.

I know that this reply is like 6 months after the most recent one, but the post struck my fancy.
My first time trying salvia, I had John Mayer's "Say" playing... as a friend told me the music wouldn't matter and i should trip past being able to hear it.
Unfortunately, I definitely heard it and focused on the very redundant "Say" that repeats throughout the song.
It was a very unpleasant musical experience to say the least.

Salvia traditionally is used in the Dark and Quiet.
http://www.sagewisdom.org/valdes83.html
"Ska Marķa Pastora is, pharmacologically, the weakest of the three hallucinogenic plants. Following its ingestion the Virgin Mary is supposed to speak to the individual, but only in absolute quiet and darkness."
I do not advise you try Salvia with music until you've done it a couple of Dozen times in a silent, dimly lit or dark room, first. (No Candles!)
In a Way I've experienced but find nearly impossible to describe: you BECOME the Music!
That is why those electronically generated soundscapes (audio tapestries) from Synergy go perfectly with Level 4. You just flow through the various dimensions - growing like a plant ... with the light of the music fueling you ...
Ummmmm ....
seems like some kind of understatement ...
