Damn this stuff pisses me off! It is not a crazy substance that makes you commit suicide from smoking it- or a life destroying DRUG!! That is an over protective parent that is just trying to protect the youth; why doesn't she just say that it should be 18+ or 21+ if she cares about the children? Maybe she should open her eyes up to alcohol- Have you ever thought about how many kids got into alcohol and did crimes or went and killed themselves or other people? That happens all the time and all that happens is that they put a 21+ restriction and when most parents have alcohol in their pantry their kids get in it and when they get caught by cops- it isn't even took that seriously.. Its like people can't accept salvia- it doesn't even typically have effects for 20 minutes when smoked and when people drink alcohol they are screwed up for until they pass out or go to sleep! And besides that, so many deaths are from cigarettes each year- and nothing is done about this- they just say any responsible adult can smoke them- why don't they do this about salvia divinorum?

cuz they suck thats why. some people are really close-minded and its no use trying to change their mind. i sent her a message but she didnt respond. my cousin, i found it, is one of those really close minded people. i talked to her for the first time about salvia and shrooms and how theres evidence that they both can create long-lasting positive changes in people and she just kept rejecting the idea. she didnt even know about shrooms or salvia until i told her. and when i told her how people feel connected to god she said that was just silly because the only way to connect to god is through church and the bible. and when i told her about the evidence she just smiled and said it was stupid.

yeah some deeply religious people seem to draw their moral compass from the bible, and its annoying because what they dont notice is that they are using gods a mask for their own true intent. my friend's religious boyfriend for example, when they were on the edge of breaking up, said that god wanted them to be together and god planned on it. and my cousin that i mentioned earlier only suspects god doesnt like it becasue SHE doesnt like it. maybe they have a name in psychology for that, like the God complex or something. anyway, alot of people that follow the bible deeply end up judging other people, and doesnt it say in the bible not to judge your fellow man or something?

Here is the deal.... either you legalize Cannabis, Salvia divinorum and the other safe plant psychoactives or your make alcohol and tobacco illegal, but you can't be fair and have it both ways!

They should stop pretending like they are fixing a problem that really doesn't even exist (the dangers of Salvia, Ha!) and they should focus on REAL problems.

I think one of the serious problems with the war on drugs is that good drugs like cannabis, salvia and peyote are caught up in the mix, so it's hard to tell the bad guys from the good guys and even harder to choose which side to be on!

If ONLY drugs like heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and other harmful and addictive compounds were illegal while safer drugs remained legal it would be easy to see the bad from the good and right from wrong!

The funny thing is you're a random guy on a website and you already know that correlation does not equal causation. Perhaps you could explain this to the dumbfuck  writer the difference. Here's her stellar logic:

-kid is severely depressed and on anti-depressants known to cause suicidal behavior
-said kid takes salvia
-kid offs himself

A normal person would conclude that most likely it had something to do with the anti-depressants, lack of parenting or various other factors. This douche instead uses it vilify a drug that is one of the safest naturally occurring substances on earth.
