Hey all, I know that many people here keep track of the legal status of Marijuana. The past few months, and weeks especially, have been very exciting! We are seeing a new drug czar take office who is more understanding than any of his predecessors. The ONCDP (or whatever it is) is no longer a cabinet level office! And, finally, people are talking about weed!! Smiley People are saying, why not legalize it and start collecting taxes? And some politicians are listening, this could also be good for Salvia and other "light" drugs.
Anyway, I just wanted to spread a bit of optimism in a rough time. Any other views on the issue? Does anyone think it could be bad to legalize pot?  Tongue

Will criminal records be uplifted and removed?

That would be amazing, Canada would be in the running spot for number one country *number 1.1 is good by me Cheesy)

Legalizing Marijuana is the first step to success,  I can't wait  t o see the day.

They should be.  Making it legal would bring the states billions of dollars in revenue, rather than making the countless terrorist cartels wealthy beyond belief.  People would not have to be risking their lives and safety dealing with them.  I have a feeling , however, that the cartels are most likely the strongest tough-law pushers, because that is the exact reason they can get so wealthy.  People should probably wake up and realize this.

So...The way to do it is to realize that we... and all our friends, need to vote properly, especially on the local and state levels!

Stay well informed on exactly who to vote for, as well as who needs to be voted out of office.  Make sure you keep others informed as well.

I suppose we can continue to support plenty of business and responsibility in the states where you can make legal purchases; consider responsible vacations to nearby states that are more kind, and bring them money and kindness.

Good advice, and it is true for all substances. As long as we keep spreading truth and science and correct the superstition, (and vote Roll Eyes) we can make a change.
