As many of you probably know, I'm a Canadian Citizen. There's a fairly large chance that I'll be attending Kent State university for the following school year (Transferring to be with my girlfriend) which poses some problems at the border.

Is anyone versed in the import laws for bringing plants into the US? I assume I'd need a certificate of Phytosanitary requirements... Anyone have any other ideas?

You shouldn't have a problem, as long as you bring it into a state thats doesn't have laws against Salvia d. I do know that people ship plants to Canada without a problem.

Do some searching around. If you need to you can probably email a government official from US Customs or something. Are you planning to ship them through the mail, drive them through, or what?

Yeah, I'm planning on driving them through.

I think I'll take a LOT of cuttings, root them all, and wrap them up in paper towels, baggie their root balls, and store them in towels in my bag of clothing...

I'm told I need a certificate of Phytosanitization, which takes about a month to get, and expires 15 days after being issued... Yeah, like that's gonna work out for me :p.

I figure most of them should make it that way.
