Yeah - I noted that in the Maryland page, but I'll update this list as well.

Worcester County in Maryland has also banned it. June you need to be 21 in Maryland to possess Salvia.

21 or 18.... any age restriction is a million times better than illegalization.

Add Georgia...  Huh

Here's a link to the provisions to amend Article 3 of Chapter 13 of Title 16 effective July 2010.

http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2009_10/sum/hb1021.htm

Said article is further amended in Code Section 16-13-72, relating to sale, distribution, or possession of dangerous drugs, by adding a new paragraph to read as follows:"(4.3) Possession, planting, cultivation, growing, or harvesting of Salvia divinorum or Salvia divinorum A strictly for aesthetic, landscaping, or decorative purposes;"

Sounds as though you can still grow it just not sell dried plant material (although not selling it at all is your best bet to flying under the radar). As long as you don't have a large stash of extracts or leaf lying around growing a plant can be done for "aesthetic, landscaping, and decorative purposes" fairly easily.

Alabama passed something a few weeks ago. The took all salvia extracts out of the shops, and made it illegal to sale. But not sure if the gov. has signed the full bill yet. I looked for the bill the other day, but cant find it.  SOMEBODY HELP ME FIND IT. Cheesy

Hero4Evz:  Thank you for reiterating this.  I kind of had to dig for this info and I have my ladies for "aesthetic" purposes.  I want people in this region to know this information because I don't want anyone to get busted.  The age restrictions are a positive direction I believe, and I'm glad it was considered in these debates.  The executive and judicial system will follow with these laws and they will make examples of the cases that deal with ingestion of Salvia divinorum.  You know... sensationalized news stories at 11:00!!!
A little off topic...   A plea to my peers.  Extractions can be dangerous in any form and any substance from sugar to nicotine, and especially distilled alcohol.  I always like to bring up facts to people and ask what the mortality rate of alcohol was last year.  Not accidents related implicitly, but alcohol poisoning alone.  Die from an alcohol overdose?  Even David Hasslehoff is doing it, so I guess it's alright and just accepted as a risk.  Compare these casualties to Salvia Divinorum.  No comparison, so please use your mind before expanding it!!  I would hate to see a plant banned becuase of idiots.  As long as there is no plausible reason for an argument, there will be no foundation for an argument.  Common sense aphorism.
Oh, and thanks to You Tube for the accurate, scientific evidence of what possibly may have been Salvia Divinorum, will do when smoked.  Illegitimate fear of a different culture that may disturb the balance of this so-called perfect utopian society was the memo received in DC.  I apologize for ranting.
For anyone that might be confused, I think Soda, cigarettes, and rum are very, very tasty!!

So long as you dont sell, and you grow your own.  I dont think you'll have much of a problem, other than ethics.   But that can go either way.
